What changed from the old Publishing Controls?
Previously, publishing was managed at the product level with an In Store Only option. That option kept a product available for in-store sales while excluding it from online listings. The related filter was available in the Product Catalog.
Overview
Where to manage Sales Channels
You can manage them at four levels:
Store: Go to Settings, Integrations, the three-dot menu on the top right, and click Manage Sales Channels to set your store’s defaults.
Template: Go to Settings, then Templates, open a template, click the three-dot menu in the top right, and select Manage Sales Channels.
Product: Open a product in the Product Catalog, click the three-dot menu on the top right, and select Manage Sales Channels.
Item: Open an individual item in Inventory, click the three-dot menu on the top right, and select Manage Sales Channels.
Tip:
The most specific setting wins for each channel. This means the Item takes priority, then its Product, then the Template, and finally the Store. If you have not made a choice at one level, it uses the setting from the level above.
Which channels can I control?
You can manage supported integrations such as Shopify, eBay, StockX, and Alias.
Under Shopify, you can also manage Online Store, Point of Sale, and third-party Shopify sales channels connected to your store.
Tips:
Third-party Shopify channels are managed at the product level, so you can't change them for just one item.
If you want to publish to a third-party channel within Shopify, you must keep Online Store on within ConsignR.
How to Enable Sales Channels
Set Your Store Defaults
Go to Settings and then Integrations.
Open the three-dot menu on the top right and select Manage Sales Channels.
Turn channels on or off for your store.
Changes save as you make them. Select Done when finished.
These settings apply across your store unless a template, product, or item has a more specific setting.
Set Channels for a Template
Go to Settings, then Templates, and open the template you want to edit.
Open the three-dot menu on the top right and select Manage Sales Channels.
Turn channels on or off for products using that template.
Select Done when finished.
A product or item can still override a template setting.
For One Product or Item
Open the product in Product Catalog or the item in Inventory.
Select the three-dot menu, then Manage Sales Channels.
Turn the channels you want on or off. Select Use default to remove the override.
Changes save as you make them. Select Done when finished.
How to Bulk Edit Sales Channels
Select the products or items you want to update.
Open Bulk Edit.
In Sales channels, choose On, Off, or Use default for each channel you want to change.
Leave a channel as Unchanged if you do not want to edit its setting.
Save the bulk edit.
If you are looking for products that were previously "In Store only"
In the Product Catalog, open Filters, Sales Channels, and select Shopify Online Store, Excluded. This finds products excluded from the Online Store, including products migrated from the old In Store Only setting.
You can also use the Sales Channels filter to find products or inventory items included in or excluded from a particular channel.
Tip:
If the activity log shows an item’s sales channel changing from Inherit to On or Off, that means it did not have its own preference previously, so it was following the level below it. After the update, it moves from the setting it inherited to the updated one you choose.
